My name is Sam Fox.  From August 25th to October 25th, 2011, I ran and hiked 2,400 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail, from Canada to Mexico.  Through thick forests, over snowy mountains, and past sandy desserts, I covered almost 43 miles, every day, for 61 straight days.  I did all of this in an effort to honor my Mother, Lucy Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease a decade ago, and to raise funds for Parkinson’s disease research and awareness.  With the help and generous support of so many, Run While You Can’s Pacific Crest Trail 2011 raised over $150,000 that went directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation and a cure for this terrible disease.
